Light Up (Akari) is a logic puzzle on a grid containing white and black cells. Your goal is to place light bulbs in white cells to illuminate the entire board.

Each bulb lights its own cell plus all cells in a straight line horizontally and vertically, until blocked by a black cell or the edge of the grid.

rule Rules

1. Every white cell must be illuminated by at least one bulb.
2. No two bulbs may light each other (no bulb in line of sight of another).
3. Numbered black cells must have exactly that many bulbs adjacent (up/down/left/right).
4. Unnumbered black cells can have any number of adjacent bulbs.

tips_and_updates Conseils et stratégies

1. Start with numbered cells that have only one possible configuration (e.g., a "4" in a corner must have all 4 adjacent cells lit).
2. A "0" on a black cell means NO adjacent bulbs — you can safely mark those cells.
3. Look for cells that can only be lit from one direction — that's where a bulb must go.
